Arada has announced that the first phase of Arada Central Business District (CBD) in Aljada, Sharjah, has secured the prestigious WiredScore Platinum certification — making it Sharjah’s first-ever development to achieve this global benchmark in digital connectivity and smart building standards.
Part of the AED 35 billion Aljada megaproject, Arada CBD is Sharjah’s upcoming commercial hub and is scheduled for completion in Q1 2027. The project will feature 812,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space, advanced smart infrastructure, and lifestyle-driven amenities designed for modern businesses.
WiredScore Platinum: A First for Sharjah
WiredScore Platinum is the highest level of recognition offered by WiredScore, a global certification for buildings with top-tier internet connectivity and digital infrastructure. This accreditation guarantees that future tenants at Arada CBD will benefit from seamless connectivity, digital resilience, and future-ready smart systems.
Earlier this year, Arada awarded a AED 604 million construction contract for Phase 1 of the project, covering eight smart office buildings and all associated infrastructure.

Region’s First Office-Focused WiredScore Portfolio
At a special event held at Aljada, senior executives from Arada and WiredScore celebrated the certification with the formal handover of the WiredScore Platinum plaque. The two companies also signed a portfolio-wide agreement to pursue WiredScore and SmartScore certification for 37 additional office buildings within Arada CBD — marking the UAE’s first office-focused WiredScore portfolio initiative.

Phase 2 Certification and District-Wide Smart Integration Underway
Certification work for Phase 2 of Arada CBD is already in progress, reinforcing the developer’s commitment to maintaining consistent digital excellence across the entire 4.3 million sq. ft. master plan.
The full CBD master plan includes 38 smart office buildings, a central green spine, 76,000 sq. ft. of landscaped green space, 26,500 sq. ft. of F&B and retail, and 1,666 parking spaces. The district will also incorporate smart-city solutions for lighting, traffic, and waste management, aligning with circular economy principles.
Aljada: Sharjah’s New Urban Heart
Located in Sharjah’s largest ever mixed-use development, Aljada spans 24 million sq. ft. and includes over 25,000 homes, schools, retail, entertainment, and wellness offerings.
